Hank is a busy boy! Ellie is easy going!

Play dough is great!! I made it on Sunday, and we have played with it three times since.

Hank loves to paint!! Usually he only paints the paper, not his face :)
We found a safe spot for Ellie to hang out.
Ellie is just like Baby Hank was, she loves to stare off into space!

Ellie loves her cute flower headband!
Ellie and Me!

This is my view of this cute girl!
Legos! He got some Zoo Legos for his birthday, super fun! He loves them! :) An Ellie photo shoot! Oh, I didn't know how fun it would be to have a girl to dress up, or just accessorize! "My bow is perfect, isn't it?"
Oh, she is so cute!
The Photo shoot went well, and she was all tuckered out!

Look at that Blanket, isn't it beautiful! We love it!!

The Weekend with Ellie!

Isn't she so cute!
You can see lots of stuff on my bed, these photos were taken on Saturday, mid afternoon, and I still hadn't put all the stuff from the hospital away!
Naked babies are just so cute!

These were taken just after the naked ones above.
She sure tell us when she is unhappy!
We just love this Ellie!
Mark caught Ellie and me napping!
Look at her cute little lips!
I actually woke up when he came in the room, but I pretended to still be asleep!

Nap Time!

Hank and Ellie are napping!
That is right, Ellie is home!!!

And she has figured out how to cry, this video is from about 11:15 am today! She had been home just about an hour, when she began crying!

After I stopped videoing, I picked her up, and patted her back a couple of times and she stopped crying! We are so glad she is a "cry baby"! I don't know how to describe my feelings, well Marks too. Our baby is able to do, more and more normal things! Wahoo!

Ellie had a great St. Pattys day!

No pinches for Ellie yesterday, she was sporting green and pink! The headband goes well with this outfit! We just love girly stuff!
Did you notice that her feeding tube is missing? They took her tube out yesterday morning!
Happy St. Patty's day for Ellie, Mommy and Daddy!

My green was a small ribbon in my hair!
I slept at the hospital last night! I got there around 9 pm, and drove home this morning around 5 am!

I nursed her three times, 9 PM, 1 AM, and 4 AM!
She did good at the 9 and 4 feedings: 14 minutes and 18 minutes! She was very sleepy at the 1 am feeding, she only nursed for 4 minutes. Which is no a problem, because she is on a add lib schedule now, that means they try to let her nurse when she wants to, but they still don't like to go more than 4 hours, with out waking her to see if she'll eat!

Another cute outfit! Love it!

One of Ellies funny faces!

"Wahoo, most likely, I get to go to my home tomorrow!"

Way to go Ellie! Nurse Jessica dressed her

for St. Patty's day! We just love this outfit!!

I just got off the phone with...

.....Ellies Nurse and she told me that Ellie weighs- 9 lb's 10 oz!!!
That is 3 oz's more than when I last saw her on Sunday late morning!!
Wahoo! These picture were taken on Fri. or Sat.
I love the sleeping smiles!

Shaving, a family event!

Shaving lesson for Hank! We used a spoon. Hank didn't like the shaving cream on his face, only on his Daddys face!

Hank asked us to take it off his face, so we did!

Here Hank is helping shave his Daddys face (with the spoon)....
and Marks head too.

An up-date on Ellie: She is doing well, most of her feedings, she is drinking from a bottle. Maybe once or twice a day, she is too sleepy so they feed her through her tube. She gets fed every three hours. When I am there to nurse her, we can wait up to 4 hours to see if she wakes up on her own. Aunt Afton is going to go visit Ellie after work tonight. Her Daddy willvisit her tonight too. Mark will go after he gets off of school. I haven't seen her for 2 days, because Hank and I are not feeling well! We definitely don't want Ellie getting sick!

What a difference "some" days make!

So this is our little girl! She really seems pretty normal to me.
Thanks to whomever invented cooling! Our baby seems like a baby!
That being said there are two things that are alarming, one is that she doesn't cry, not even once has she cried. She has made sad fussy faces, some sounds, but no cries. Two- she sometimes forgets to breathe while she is "eating". I have to help her while we nurse, I pull her off, to help remind her to take some breathes. Most of the time, she will figure it out and pace herself, but not always does she remember. This could be potentially dangerous, especially if I was to fall asleep. So, I am becoming an alert nurser! Her tells that she is not remembering to breathe are continual sucking and swallowing no pauses, and her space between her nose and lip will turn a gray or dusty color.
Look at what the nurses chose to dress her in on Saturday, after she pooped all over nurse Jessica! Good girl Ellie pooping on a nurse and not on mommy!

This is what she is wearing currently, unless she has had another blowout! :)

Mark and Hank left about half way through Sacrament meeting, which we have last. Hank was being pretty irreverant! They came to the hospital to pick me up. We stayed a few more minutes while Mark held Ellie, she is a little stinker, she rarely is awake when Mark is at the hospital.

This is the breif moment Hank was half way still today at the hosptial! It was lunch time, so he was hungry and he is two! So!!
One of my favorite songs is "What a Difference a Day Makes" one version sung by Louie Armstrong! Each day is making a differnence is our little girl!
Thank you for all your prayers and love!

Today

Mark and I decided to let Hank meet / see Ellie today.
He hasn't been very interested in posing for pictures lately, as you can see. He really liked meeting his sister El-yie, (that is the way he pronounces her name!) It is so cute!
He got to kiss her foot, and while saying "eye", he leaned closer to her and tried to touch her eye. I said, "no touching her eye today, but you can touch her feet"! Mark and Hank went home just a couple minutes after that. I stayed for a few mores hours. I was there for two feedings. She nursed for about one and a half minutes the first time, she was so sleepy for her 10 am feeding. But at her one pm feeding she nursed for twelve minutes! Wahoo Ellie!
One of Ellies nurses took this of us! I held her for about an hour and a half while she slept!

I put her in some pj's that were my younger brothers. Hank also wore them when he was a baby!

Here she is standing up! She has some cords that track her pulse and heart rate!

Big kisses!
Auntie Afton came around 12 noon, we left around 2:20.

Here she is all ready to take a rest!

Mommy and Daddy got a surprise yesterday!

When Mark and I arrived to see Ellie, she was getting a bath!
She didn't have anything on her, but her feeding tube. It was amazing!
She was getting a bath! Wahoo!

I got to wash her! It was so fun!

Ellie wanted us to see her cute tongue!

I just had to kiss those feet!
She just loved getting her head washed!
Bright eyes!!
You have got to love that face!
Ready to rinse her off!
That feels good.

All wrapped up. One of Ellies fantastic nurses!
